We are very happy to release the 2008 vintage of our estate-grown Rangeland Wines. We bottled the 2008 wines in August, just before harvest, after almost two years in the barrel. Although not as purely ripe as the drought-intensified 2007 wines, our 2008s show the increasing maturity of our estate vineyard, which was planted in 2002. We particularly noted the more complex aromas (fruits and flowers!) and flavors. The mountain-grown personality of all of our wines expresses itself with bracing acidity, medium body and a fine minerality rare in reds, which help Rangleland Wines pair wonderfully with rich winter foods.

We had the opportunity to pour our Rangeland Wines for the Avila Beach Concours d'Elegance Beach Bash on Saturday, October 23.  What a great event, which benefited the Hospice of San Luis Obispo.

Winemaker Shannon Gustafson and Winegrower Laird Foshay will be pouring 2007 Rangeland Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah, as well as some "sneak peak" tasting of our unreleased 2008 wines.
